How much does it cost?+
Our full deep clean is $169 + GST per heat pump. Additional units in the same home are $129 + GST each. Ducted systems start from $249 + GST. Commercial pricing is available on request.
What does the clean include?+
A full internal hydro clean and sanitise of the indoor unit: filters, evaporator coil, barrel fan, drain tray and drain system, plus mould, bacteria, dust and grime removal. We also give the outdoor unit a basic sanitise and hose down.
How often should I clean my heat pump?+
Most homes benefit from a proper internal clean every 12 months. Homes with pets, asthma, or coastal salt air may want it sooner.
Is this different from cleaning the filters?+
Yes, wiping the filters is a quick rinse. A Deluxe Clean removes mould, dust and grime from inside the unit, including the coil and barrel fan.
Do you replace DVS or HRV filters?+
Yes. AirEffect can replace DVS / HRV filters as a standalone service or as an add-on to a Deluxe Clean. If you’re not sure what filter you need, add a note when checking availability and Courteney can confirm before your visit.
Do you clean the outdoor unit too?+
Yes, we clean and sanitise the outdoor unit as part of every service.
Do you do ducted heat pumps?+
Yes, we clean and sanitise ducted heat pump systems, including return filters, accessible components, vent grilles and the outdoor unit.
Where are you based?+
We are based in Omokoroa and service the wider Bay of Plenty.

How long does it take?+
Most standard deep cleans take around 45 minutes to 1 hour, depending on access and the condition and type of unit.
Is there a travel fee?+
No travel fee for our core zone: Katikati, Omokoroa, Tauranga, Bethlehem, Te Puna, Otumoetai, Mount Maunganui, Papamoa and Te Puke. A travel fee applies for Rotorua ($20) and Whakatane and surrounding areas ($25), usually with 10 to 14 days lead time.
