How often should I clean my heat pump?+
Most homes benefit from a proper internal clean every 12 months. Homes with pets, asthma, or coastal salt air may want it sooner.
Is this different from cleaning the filters?+
Yes — wiping the filters is a quick rinse. A Deluxe Clean removes mould, dust and grime from inside the unit, including the coil and barrel fan.
Do you replace DVS or HRV filters?+
Yes. AirEffect can replace DVS / HRV filters as a standalone service or as an add-on to a Deluxe Clean. If you’re not sure what filter you need, add a note when checking availability and Courtney can confirm before your visit.
Do you clean the outdoor unit too?+
Absolutely — the outdoor condenser is washed and the drain is flushed and checked as part of every Deluxe Clean.
